It sounds like a contradiction, but is it?
Do you aspire to the Apple Macintosh, and wonder if you can really afford it? After
all, PCs are so dirt cheap nowadays, for a few hundred you can pick up a good spec
in Wal-
I have both a laptop and a desktop, and if you can fond the right Mac laptop cheap, then it is worth getting. The laptop is so much more portable, doesn’t suffer from power cuts which happen in most places some time, if you can only afford one cheap Mac (no I don’t mean a big Mac!) then you should seriously consider a laptop Mac.
One thing that you should note. Most regular PCs are, it seems, almost “scheduled” to fail just after the warranty runs out. I’ve heard all sort of complaints about that. The Mac is a better machine, making it realistic to buy a cheap used Mac laptop. So don’t restrict your search to the computer stores.
Where else can you look? Certainly the Internet makes these searches possible, if not even fun. EBay is always a good starting point when looking for a computer, or anything else cheap, as with patience you will find the guy who has to sell for the low price. Try “sniping”, which is bidding with just seconds to go, to see if you can snatch a bargain. There’s no point bidding up the price of a used Mac laptop for hours before the auction ends, it just makes you go higher and higher until you pay as much as you can afford, or lose to someone richer.
